The Northampton County Medical Needs Registry is an emergency preparedness tool that will be used by local emergency managers to communicate with people who have medical needs for emergency preparedness planning. The Medical Need Registry contains the names and addresses of individuals with medical needs or health conditions who cannot manage independently in a general shelter or evacuation center in an emergency. The Medical Needs Registry may be used for any emergency requiring evacuation such as floods, hurricanes, hazardous material spills and gas leaks. The Medical Needs Registry is voluntary and all information collected will be kept confidential.

This information is being collected in order to assist the County in directing help to those with special needs in emergency situations. The fact that the County is collecting this information does not constitute a commitment that the County will provide emergency services or can provide emergency services and should not be construed as such.
